FOG Screen - Misty screen

One of unusual instruments of information representing is the misty screen. When a visitor sees its work in full scale for the first time, he does not realize that it is reality. A bright three-dimensional image appears in the air when you turn on a projector. The misty screen allows to project any video or a logo of a company, providing interaction with the viewer.

It is used:

• in the entertaining sphere;

• advertising activity;

• in the educational sphere;

• theatres.

What are the misty screens? 

The first reaction of the viewer is surprise and admiration. Are you agree that it's not a usual thing to meet a big globe which is slowly floating in the air, in the middle of  hall? The image has no support at all, the screen isn't visible and it is possible to pass through it, having felt nothing.

This fantasy is possible because of long-term development of the best engineers and programmers. Only 3 countries in the world can show such extraordinary invention nowaays. Misty screens are produced by Heliodisplay (USA), Fogscreen (Finland) and Polivizor (Russia). All specified developments allow to receive tremendous result, something similar to the hologram's effect.

On the one hand construction of the misty screen has high-technological effectiveness, complexity, but on the other hand it is simple and amazingly convenient in use. This non-standard tool of visualization of the image will take the interest of everyone.

The misty screen – water on service of advertising

Basis of the system is the screen consisting of liquid microparticles. Usual water is used for creation, it is enough to connect the equipment to the central water supply system only. Particles of water with size of two microns are sprayed to the demanded direction with help of work of generating device. The device is suspended under a ceiling, it isn't visible to visitors at all. There is no noise, it looks like the image floats in air. 

As it was already told usual water is used for work of the equipment. The generator can be connected to water supply system, but best of all is to put the filter or to apply a separate source with the clear distilled water. It will allow to prolong the term of work of the equipment, to provide high quality of functioning of the system.

Working scheme of the equipment reminds usual humidifiers but its work is more perfect. Microparticles get a weak negative charge, they chaotically push off each other, and as a result the fog turns out dry and a little cold. While passing through the image, a visitor doesn't feel moisture at all. There is no forming condensate at the time of installation. Thickness of the water screen is a few centimeters only, the image turns out accurate and bright, well noticeable by the audience.

The feature of a foggy projector is that the screen turns out multilayered. A central layer which is enriched with cold fog is the main working layer. There are two dense protective layers, they protect the system from the other sies. These streams are called supporting streams. Depending on a construction, they set the direction of a working layer, protecting it from drafts, temperature drops, wind and other negative impacts. As a result the image is stable. 

The steam screen can be absolutely invisible or it can represent translucent foggy streams. It depends on a mddel of the system. The display is invisible, there is only a bright video image or the static picture when the work is well controlled. Particles of fog aren't felt when passing through them. For this reason the system is used as veils on an entrance, for registration of stands at exhibitions.

Control over parameters of the system is the guarantee of image quality

We use special operating equipment to make the picture more qualitative. It allows to control length, smoothness, uniformity of giving of a stream and the image. We consider such parameters as temperature, direction, speed, laminarity degree. 

It is important to make the operability of all three streams of the screen close to each other. It also gives a chance to to a viewer to see three-dimensional and accurate image which can literally float in the air. We use electric fans in the form of certain massifs for working with air streams which are sated with fog particles. The sizes and position of devices are defined by a model of the system.

The projector with high resolution is used for getting a qualitative image. Its light force is selected individually, it depends on the conditions where the system will be used. For example screens can be installed in the open air, they will be effective only in evening and night time. The light force of the screen has to react completely to the natural level of lighting in different time of day. Most often installations are intended for the enclosed space.

Laser rays are used for foggy projectors a little less often. Such equipment is acceptable for creation of presentations, light and laser show programs. The misty screen is ideally suited for zoning of space of entertaining places. It is necessary to select devices for restaurants, night clubs, discos attentively because dust in the air and smoke make a light stream not so accurate.

The projection to steam has to be the brightest therefore it should be installed  for working directly with the viewer. Passing through the screen, a ray doesn't loose its brightness, it can be directed to floor, ceiling, audience. We use special screens, peaks, light-repellent curtains to avoid the negative result.
